Bold Predictions for 2015 Season

With the season fast approaching, I thought it might be fun to look into my Crystal Ball and make some predictions on how the regular season will end up. I didn't ask for anyone else's opinion, these predictions are my own.

If you have a problem with the predictions, you can simply prove me wrong by winning ball games. This is intended for entertainment purposes only...gambling on WFL games is strictly prohibited.

A little background on how I came up with these BOLD predictions. I poured over each regular season game and made predictions on the outcome of every game. 54 games in total will be played during the regular season. I then tracked my projected winners and determined how each division would finish. I finally projected the tournament seeding based on my predictions.

So...let's start out with the Big Four: Gold Ru$h, Sidewinders, Play2Reign and Young Guns. These four teams figure to battle it out for both divisional titles as well as the tournament championship. Sidewinders and Young Guns play all of the other 3 members of the Big Four. Gold Ru$h and Play2Reign will miss each other during the regular season.

The Sidewinders and Gold Ru$h are in the Gold Division and will beat both Play2Reign and Young Guns in their cross-over division games. Sidewinders will take out Gold Ru$h to finish off a 9-0 regular season, #1 tournament seed and Gold Division Champs. Gold Ru$h will finish 2nd in the Gold Division with an 8-1 record and #3 seed.

Play2Reign and Young Uns will battle for top honors in the Red Division with both finishing with 7-2 records. But the Young Uns will own a the tie-breaker over P2R with a regular season win over them. Young Guns will take the Red Division and #2 overall seed, while Play2Reign will snag the #4 seed.

It gets interesting after that. Blue Heat, Wells Royals and Big Red all figure to battle for the #5-7 seeds. I have Blue Heat and Wells Royals finishing at 5-4, while the Big Red finish at 4-5 due to a tough schedule. All three of these teams will face each other during the regular season, so there could be some movement either way based on the outcome of those games. I have Blue Heat winning against both the Royals and Big Red. Big Red and Royals will square off in a game that will probably decide which team finishes above 0.500.

From there, the Uptown Ballers, Wells Sox and Airport Flyers should fall into place. I have Flyers and Sox winning 3 games and the Ballers winning 2. The Angels and One Hit Wonders may pull off an upset to win a game or two...but it would be considered an upset. One Hit Wonders are brand new, so there is potential for me to under-estimate their results.
